The Running Back is the work horse of the offense.  The Running Backs ability to carry the ball without turning it over, get the first down in short yardage situations, and make crucial catches when needed will add to the fluidity of an offense.  Running Backs are now asked to do more than run the ball.  There are three aspects of playing Running Back: running, receiving, and blocking.  If a runner can master all three he instantly becomes a wanted man by scouts and recruiters.
